Indian Lake Middle School is proud to announce that 8th grader, Morgan Dague, had artwork chosen to be displayed in the 40th Annual Ohio Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month Exhibition. The exhibition represents Ohio students in grades kindergarten through eighth and is on display at the State Teachers Retirement Systems (STRS) building in Columbus, Ohio from February 22nd – March 18th.

One hundred thirty-eight pieces were selected for the juried show from the nine regions of the state that represent OAEA. The exhibit is sponsored by Ohio Art Education Association which is the professional organization for art teachers in Ohio. OAEA works to promote the arts and recognizes quality student art throughout the state through various exhibits at state and regional levels. The Youth Art Month Exhibition comes about through many volunteer hours by art teachers in the state of Ohio. Morgan’s art work was submitted for the show by Rebecca Dotson, art educator at Indian Lake Middle School and matted by Ricker Fuller at Framing by Fuller in Russells Point, Ohio. A reception and awards ceremony was held at the STRS building on Saturday March 7, 2020 for the young artists, their families and teachers.

The exhibition represents Ohio students in grades kindergarten through eighth and is on display at the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus, Ohio from February 22nd – March 18th.
