ILMS sixth graders are thinking bigger and better for their latest assignment.
"Thing-A-Ma-Jig" week was held recently!
Students presented their projects to their peers in science teachers Nick Tucci and Christina Fullerton's classrooms. The goal of the annual assignment is to think of ways to make everyday tasks easier by inventing a solution. Students may either improve upon an already existing product or come up with something completely new. Students then present a prototype of their “thing-a-ma-jig” and explain its uses.
Projects included an automatic shoe cleaner in a shoe box, a nose warmer, a self-driving car, an automatic doggie door, high tech glasses and farm machinery and more!
