ILMS sixth graders are making creative improvements to current products or coming up with something completely new for their latest assignment.
"Thing-A-Ma-Jig" week was held recently!
Students presented their projects to their peers in science teachers Nick Tucci and Chris Anders’ classrooms. The goal of the annual assignment is to think of ways to make everyday tasks easier by inventing a solution. Students then present a prototype of their “thing-a-ma-jig” and explain its uses.
Projects included a combine that folds up for easier travel on the roads, an automatic gas pump, a device that delivers treats to pets when they put their toys away and more.
