Miss Jean Newmeyer

     I am currently the Intervention Specialist for the 7th grade and in my 31st year at Indian Lake Middle School.  I have previously taught Language Arts, math, science, and social studies as a resource room teacher for grades 5-8.  I have been the Newspaper Staff Supervisor, Academic Club Advisor, Science Club Advisor, and have been the Trip Advisor, taking students to Florida, Washington, D.C., and New England.  I coached girls' basketball for two years, middle school track for 29 years, and middle school cross country for 17 years.
     I graduated in 1979 from Shelby Senior High School, received a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and Reading in 1983 from Ashland College, and received a Master's Degree in Education from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in .  I became a National Board Certified Teacher in     .
