6th grader Calin Headings is the back-to-back Indian Lake Middle School Spelling Bee Champion!
Headings recently won the ILMS Spelling Bee for the second year in a row. 7th grader Grady Zielinksi was the runner-up.
After 15 rounds of intense competition, Headings correctly spelled the word "embroiled" to take the crown.
In total, 20 other students who were all chosen from Language Arts classes, participated in the bee. Students were provided spelling words from the Scripps National Spelling Bee List. Headings and Zielinski both advance to the Logan County Spelling Bee in January at the Holland Theatre.
