The 31st Class of the Indian Lake Middle School Hall of Fame included another first! This year's group not only featured students with great academics and achievements, but also two sets of twins!
A total of 16 new inductees from the Indian Lake Class of 2029 were recently inducted into the ILMS Academic Hall of Fame.
The ceremony was held with friends and family in front of the entire ILMS student body.
ILMS Co-Principal Missy Mefford told the group middle school is hard, so having this much success is something to be proud of and something that every student in the audience should strive for.
She said, "For those of you sitting in the stands today, this could be you someday. You can choose to become the best version of yourself, just as these students have done. If being inducted into the Hall of Fame is a goal of yours, then take time to reflect on the friends you have and the decisions you make each and every day. Are you on the path that will lead you into one of these chairs? If the answer to that is yes, then keep on pushing through. If the answer is no, then reflect on what it is you need to do and adjust your sails to find success. These students took the initiative to make themselves be the best version of themselves that they could be. They chose to be better each day than they were the day before."
Congratulations to inductees Adriana Andrus, Wyatt Beair, Rush Hurley, Tyler Jackson, Lux Kipker, Nixon Lillard, Laura Metzger, Isabella Michael, Makenzie Motter, Layna Nessler, Peyton Robinson, Piper Robinson, Brody Schulz, Emma Taylor, Lucas Taylor and Claire Tidwell.
Each of these young people maintained a 3.8 gpa or higher while at ILMS, maintained a 98% attendance rate, were enrolled at least 70% of semesters during their 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade years and were not a discipline problem at ILMS.
A reception followed the induction ceremony in the cafeteria.
