On this 23rd anniversary of 9/11, Indian Lake educators and students took time to know put a face to the name of several victims.
Each school observed a moment of silence at 8:46 am, when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. Several teachers also shared their personal experiences of where they were and what they remember from that intense day.
8th grade social studies students read information about several people involved in the attacks, from Todd Beamer to Willy Jimeo. They learned whether those people survived and what important role they served during the attacks.
In addition, several classes observed Patriots Day by learning patriotic songs and making red, white and blue crafts.
