MHDAS Board Kindness Club Grant

ILMS and the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties are teaming up to increase teen kindness!
The Indian Lake Middle School Kindness Club recently received a MHDAS grant for more than $5,300.
The money will be used to purchase supplies for several Kindness Club initiatives including new student welcome packages, hygiene and clothing supplies, campus clean-up day materials, care package supplies for local nursing homes and materials for Random Acts of Kindness Week.
The ILMS Kindness Club has been spreading smiles for several years now with leadership from ILMS Guidance Counselor Mandy Tidwell. Their mission is help deliver kindness to ILMS and beyond. In the past they've spearheaded several projects including kindness chains, special staff thank you notes, supportive locker messages, outreach activities at the elementary school, leading Random Acts of Kindness Week and more.
