The Logan County District Libraries are hosting their free Imagination Academy Family Edition  tonight  from 6-7pm at the Knowlton Library in Bellefontaine. Enjoy origami crafting, learn about the Japanese culture and history, using chopsticks and hear from community members who took a trip to Japan this summer. LoCo Art will also be there to kick off their free fall programming over Sadako and the 
Thousand Paper Cranes.  Their program will be at the branch libraries this fall on Saturday mornings.  If you would like more information flyers are posted across from the choir room by the Art Information bulletin boards or see Mrs. Dotson.

The 7th grade volleyball team beat Kenton on Saturday.  Recording kills for the team were Katie Roby and Madison Brentlinger with 2 and Tori Roby with 1.  Serving strong for the team were Ava Huffman who was 8 for 10 with 3 aces, Isabel Brunson was 1 for 2 with one ace, Kayleigh Zedlitz was 2 for 3 with 1 ace, Katie Roby was 12 for 14 with 4 aces, Madison Brentlinger was 19 for 20 with 11 aces, Porscha Davis was 15 for 16 with 8 aces, and Tori Roby was 2 for 5 with 2 aces.  The team is back in action tonight at Graham.

The 8th grade volleyball team was in action on Wednesday against Urbana.  They lost in 2 sets, 25-22 and 25-20.  Megan Kimbler led the team with 7 points, Elayna Richardson had 5 points and Paige Mefford added 4 points.  Allison Kinney had 3 kills, Elayna Richardson, Jalan Martin, and Megan Kimbler each added 1 kill.  On Saturday, the 8th graders beat Kenton in 2 sets, 25-13 and 25-18.  The lakers were led by strong serving from Paige Mefford with 12 points, Elayna Richardson with 10 points and Allison Kinney with 5 points.  Stephanie Altstaetter and Reece Martin were strong in the back row for the Lakers. 
The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams will be hosting a Pink Out game on Wednesday, Sept. 26 against North Union.  Come out and support the Lakers as fight against cancerDon't forget to wear your pink!

The MS Cross Country team ran at the 46th annual Ohio Caverns Invitational on Saturday. Many members of the team earned personal best records at the event.
Leading the boys was Brant Parsell, finishing in 12:17, placing 13th overall. Dawson Finfrock finished 30th (13:28), Mason Beres finished 38th (13:51), Brody Parsell finished 57th (14:57), Mason Swygart finished 69th (17:31), and Tristan Seymour finished in 74th (22:37).
Leading the girls was Chloe Sparks, finishing in 14:04, placing 32nd overall. Also finishing for the girls was KaiLea Miller, 37th (15:30), Kierra Saunders, 38th (15:31), Hannah Metzger, 48th (15:52), Carlie Nickel, 57th (16:29), Andi Miller, 59th (16:53), Marrah Reames, 63rd (17:15), Emma King, 64th (17:39), Maggie Reese, 72nd (20:10), and Meadow McCullough, 74th (22:32).

Attention 7th and 8th grade band members:  Don't forget that you have practice after school Tuesday and Thursday. Your flipfolders and lyres will need to be ready for these practices.  Come to the band room on 2nd bell.  You will be done at 4:30
