ILMS Cell Phone Rules
Posted on 08/01/2018
Indian Lake Middle School recently made changes to the building's cell phone policy for students. During the 2018-19 school year, students may bring cell phones, iPods, tablets and other similar devices to school to communicate with family and friends before and after school hours. However, cell phones must remain off and stored away in lockers during school hours, unless expressly permitted by instructors during class time for educational purposes. Students are also prohibited from using devices on the bus. If a student needs to reach a parent or guardian during the school day because of illness, injury or other issue, that student must seek permission to use the ILMS Office phone reserved for student calls. With these changes, ILMS hopes to reduce distractions and bullying during the school day.
