The month of March is Youth Art Month.
Olivia Ross, a 7th grader from Indian Lake Middle School was chosen as an honored artist for the 44th Annual Youth Art Month and Young People’s Art Exhibition with a drawing of Judy Garland as Dorothy.
5th grader Elijah Kinson, from Indian Lake Middle School was chosen as an honored artist for the 44th Annual Youth Art Month and Young People’s Art Exhibition with a landscape painting.
Both events are sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association with each exhibition featuring 115 works of art from students in grade k-8 across Ohio.
There are eight regions in Ohio representing the OAEA.
It's a great distinction for students to be a part of both exhibitions.
