ILMS 6th graders recently rose to the inaugural Paper Ball Run Challenge of 2023! Science teacher Christina Fullerton explains that this is the first year they've tried the activity, which rewards the most time it takes for a paper ball to come through the shoot without getting stuck. Students were trying to manipulate potential and kinetic energy by building a run from no more than 30 sheets of paper and tape that was 10-inches or taller. They worked in pairs or small groups to create the slowest run after dropping in their paper ball.
Nice work!!
