Attention ILMS students and parents!
Indian Lake Middle School is trying something new during this year's Open House one week from today in an effort to get ChromeBooks in the hands of students as quickly as possible. There are three options to ensure that your student gets their Chromebook the night of Open House.
1.
You've already paid online! If you have already paid the $30 ChromeBook fee online on LINQ Connect (
https://linqconnect.com) or in person, your student's name will be on a list to collect his or her ChromeBook during Open House Night.
2. Pay the night of Open House with Cash or Check! You will receive a paper receipt and then can collect your student's chromebook that night.
3. Pay Online at Open House! There will be computer stations set up in the ILMS Cafeteria. If you pay the fee online, you will receive a receipt via email that you can present at the Chromebook distribution station.
How it Will Work:
Student Chromebooks will be available in the Media Center organized by grade level. If you have paid PRIOR to Open House, your student can immediately collect their Chromebook. If not, you will need to pay in person or online and present your receipt in order to collect your Chromebook!
Please note: ONLY ILMS is offering this early ChromeBook collection. ILES students do not pay a fee. They will be assigned a Chromebook to keep at school during the first few days. ILHS students will get their Chromebook once their fee is paid.
Students will review the Responsible Use Agreement that spells out the terms of using the ChromeBooks. Co-Principal Mrs. Miller says students should carefully read and understand the agreement, which details how to handle the Chromebook on a daily basis and what happens if it is lost or damaged.
Mrs. Miller says students should keep the Chromebooks inside their case at all times and the ID card in the front plastic pocket should not be removed for any reason.
ILMS students who have completed their online forms and paid the tech fee may begin taking their Chromebooks home, as their teachers instruct them. Students who do not have their online forms completed and the $30 technology insurance fee paid are required to keep their Chromebook at school.
