Calculating Speed with Hot Wheels!

Sixth graders used a favorite childhood toy in a recent lab to learn!
Students in Mrs. Fullerton's Science classes used Hot Wheels on a smart track to calculate how fast the cars were going. They timed the lap and knew how long the track was. That information helped them find average speed of the cars on the tracks. (Speed=Distance divided by Time) They also did a car-launching exercise just for fun! It's a lesson they'll never forget!
