Indian Lake 7th grade girls basketball team beat Tecumseh 29 to 12. Abby Bihn scored 12 points and had 4 assists, Addison Headings scored 8 points, Samantha Altstaetter scored 4 points, Caroline Jones scored 3 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Teighan Mackesy scored 2 points and had 6 steals.
There was no 8th grade game. Up next, Indian Lake plays Saturday at Bellefontaine.
The 7th grade boys basketball team lost by a final score of 32-27 last night at home against Tecumseh. The Lakers were within 2 points of tying the game multiple times, but couldn’t come through in the end. Miller Hall led with 14 points, and Mason Berg followed with 10. Fletcher Brown added a 3 of his own. Broxtyn Emrick helped lead the way with rebounds, while Issac Roberts had a strong defensive showing on the night.
The 8th grade boys basketball team lost to Tecumseh in overtime last night by the final of 47-43. Kirk Beres scored a layup with a few seconds remaining to send the game into overtime, but the Lakers just couldn't find enough offense or get the key stops necessary to win in overtime. The team falls to 8-5 on the season. Nixon Lillard led the team in scoring with 16 points. Rush Hurley had 14 points. Kirk Beres scored 8 points and Alex Tussing completed the scoring with 5 points. They next play at Jonathan Alder next Thursday.
