The month of March is Youth Art Month.
Emma Taylor, an 8th grader from Indian Lake Middle School was chosen as an honored artist for the 45th Annual Youth Art Month Exhibition with a landscape painting.
6th grader Kayla Tracey, from Indian Lake Middle School was chosen as an honored artist for the 45th Annual Young People’s Art Exhibition with a cake drawing.
Both events are sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association with each exhibition featuring 125 works of art from students in grade k-8 across Ohio.
There are eight regions in Ohio representing the OAEA.
It's a great distinction for students to be a part of both exhibitions.
Indian Lake Middle School art teacher Mrs. Rebecca Dotson along with Emma and Kayla will be honored during a reception at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, March 1st.
