Middle School Co-Principal

I graduated from Wilmington College with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education in 2010.  I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Wright State University in 2018.  I began my teaching career with Indian Lake Middle School in 2011 serving as the art teacher.  In 2012, I started at Indian Lake High School in the same capacity, where I also served as the Art Club advisor.  In total, this is my 8th year at Indian Lake! Go Lakers!

As a Co-Principal at ILMS, my job is directly related to curriculum and instruction.  This includes supporting and helping to facilitate quality instruction for all learners.  Specifically, this encompasses completing staff evaluations, researching and selecting curriculum strategies and materials, professional development, and overall practices which are best for every learner. At the forefront of my responsibilities are the best interest of all students. It is my true belief that all students are capable of all things and it is my primary role to help them get there!

While not at work, I enjoy gardening, painting, and being outside.  My husband, David, and I met in college and live on a farm in southeast Logan County with our 4-year old son, Tate, and dog, Ivy.  We make hay in the summer and enjoy time with family and friends!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, my door is always open, together we can achieve great things! As Nelson Mandela states, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
