ILMS recently hosted the school's third annual Hope Walk to honor and remember those among us who have battled or who are battling cancer. Grade levels circled the track on a lovely afternoon and had the opportunity to purchase a variety of food and drinks.
Part way through the event, more than a dozen cancer survivors with ties to ILMS led a special Survivors Lap.
They included: Paige King (Isaac and Izzy King), Brooke Snow (Kaylee Snow, Carter Oakley, Izabella Oakley, Korbyn Oakley and Kenzley Pertuset), Jennifer Castello (Addison and Calin Headings), Randy Kelly (Hayden Kuhlke, Logan Kuhlke and Carson Warnecke), Kathleen Vance (Hunter and Jordan Vance), Gayle Dye (Grant Wickline), Stacey McLean (Madison McLean), Darlin Meyer (Isiah Meyer), Rebecca Cruz (Audriana Fox, Kason Fox, Zoey Hawley and Derek Hawley), Deone Varian and Heather Varian (Keira Major and Karson Major), Treva Friend (Lara Hagedorn), Jessica Miller (Briellin Miller), Pam Breakey (Maddy Leiss-Breakey, Lilly Martin and Amelia Martin), Crystal Lillicrap (Jordan Henderson), Laura Pratt (Ashlynn Arndts and Ruby Inskeep) Mandy Postle (Raelyn Hoge), Billie Spencer (Korbyn Wurtsbaugh) Annie Hullinger (Tenzlee Pyles), Richard and Nancy Hefner (Alysea Hefner) and Hope Martin (Lucas McIntire).
The Hope Walk total will be added to money raised throughout the year. All proceeds will go to the Logan County Cancer Society.
