Can you spell three-peat?
ILMS 7th grader Calin Headings continued his dynasty as the Indian Lake Middle School Spelling Bee Champion, winning the top spot for the third year in a row!
6th grader Jayvin Hill was the runner-up.
After several rounds of intense competition, Headings correctly spelled the word "equestrian" to take the crown.
In total, 20 other students who were all chosen from Language Arts classes, participated in the bee. Students were provided spelling words from the Scripps National Spelling Bee List. Headings and Hill both advance to the Logan County Spelling Bee in January at the Holland Theatre.
